Folding four part advertising card giving the scores of each round, semi-final and Finals of both the Paris Olympics, won by Uruquay and the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, again won by Uruquay. Printed details for the Paris results and printed, handwritten and typed results for the 1928 competition. Cigarette advertising to verso on all four parts. Minor damage to card otherwise in good condition. Rare

Frederick George Lewin, 1861-1933, the son of a Bristol sea captain, was an illustrator for the Bristol Magpie and Bristol Evening Post, and also contributed to Punch magazine from 1902-1908. He also produced designs for over 750 humorous wartime postcards.

The weekly 'Referee' sports newspaper was first published in 1877 and one of the first to publish regular football results. In 1939 it merged with the Sunday Chronicle
