Francis Henry 'Franny' Lee. Manchester City. Original one page typed letter on Manchester City Football Club Limited letterhead, dated 6th October 1967. The letter confirms the purchase by Manchester City of 'Francis Henry Lee' from Bolton Wanderers for £60,000, with a breakdown of the payment instalments being '£40,000 within 14 days of the transfer. £20,000 on or before 1st January 1968, this amount to be subject to Bank Rate of Interest from the date when the £40,000 is paid'. Handwritten annotations in red ink to the left margin confirm the initial payment was made 18th October 1967, the second being paid with additional interest charges of £298-13-1 on 4th January 1968. Nicely signed in ink by Walter Griffiths, Secretary of the Club. VG

The contract specifies Lee's basic wage of £60 per week, with additional typed 'Other financial provisions', regarding match bonuses for League, F.A. Cup and League Cup performances, and also an 'Attendance bonus' dependant on the size of the crowd attending matches. Nicely signed twice in ink by Walter Griffiths, Secretary of the Club, and also by Lee. VG

Two original telegrams sent to Joe Mercer, manager of Manchester City, in Vienna for the final played at The Prater Stadium, Vienna, 29th April 1970. The two telegrams from personal friends are dated 25th and 29th April 1970. Sold with an official players' itinerary for the match, an official match ticket, and a Daily Mail 'Cup-Winners' Extra' supplement dated 30th April 1970, reporting on Manchester City's victory. VG

The England signatures, signed on the page corresponding to their position, are Ted Hufton, Roy Goodall, Herbert Jones, Willis Edwards, Thomas Wilson, Henry Healless, Joe Hulme, Bob Kelly, Dixie Dean, Joe Bradford and Billy Smith.
