'Muhammad Ali. A Portrait in Words and Pictures'. Wilfred Sheed, London 1974. Nicely signed in ink with dedication to double page spread two pages on from the title page, 'To my friend George, Muhammad Ali. Good luck'. Also signed by five others including Joe Bugner, Andy Smith, Bugner's trainer, Dave 'Boy' Green etc. The signatures were collected in Las Vegas when Bugner fought Ali on 14th February 1973. Tears and wear to dustwrapper, the book in good condition. Sold with 'The Greatest. My own Story', Muhammad Ali and Richard Durham, 1976

Bugner, born in Hungary, came to Britain in 1956. Already a good athlete, his trainer, Andy Smith, encouraged him to take up boxing. During his career Bugner twice held the British and British Commonwealth heavyweight titles, was a three-time European heavyweight champion, and was ranked among the world's top ten heavyweights in the 1970s. The vendor's Uncle, George ran a pub in St. Ives in Huntingdon and got to know Andy Smith, Bugner's trainer well. For a time, Bugner also lived in St. Ives and visited George's pub with Smith. George and a friend made the trip to Las Vegas to watch Bugner fight Muhammad Ali, where the book was signed. Ali beat Bugner on points

Official programme and official ticket for the World Heavyweight Championship fight held at Arsenal Stadium, Highbury on 21st May 1966, with an Odeon Theatre cinema ticket for the match. Also a mono photograph of Cooper knocking down Ali, signed 'Sir Henry Cooper', and a colour insert for the fight 'Presented by Boxing Illustrated. VG

Signed in black ink with dedication, to the darker part of the image, 'Sincerely yours, Tommy Noble with Best Wishes to Sapper Wilkinson', dated 1st November 1916. The postcard in very good condition. Sold with an accompanying hand written letter from Noble to Wilkinson replying to the request for the photograph, 'I am pleased to hear you take an interest in boxing as I think it is the greatest of all sports'. VG
